Snow days...
The beginning of this month, we got a few days of some good snow and our little critter decided to brave the cold and go play- not his typical response so far. He usually gets pretty uncomfortable and doesn't last very long, but he stuck it out longer than normal this day and had a fun time knocking the snow off all the items on our deck and pushing his dump truck as far as he could make it go in the backyard.
This picture reminds me of the little brother in the Christmas story movie.
By the end of the day, we finally found him some gloves that fit better!

It's a little blurry but you get the idea- our house decked out with lights at Christmastime! Looks so festive with all the white snow, eh? :)

We went sledding with friends but the sun did not come out. The older girls made the best of it, but little critter and the little sister in purple didn't last too long in the cold snow. Little miss is in the back with the blue hat! All three girls went down several times and had a lot of fun, I was always surprised none of them fell off as they zoomed down the hill.

baby star went down the hill twice (with mommy and daddy)

poor little guy, we finally got him blue snow boots to replace the pink ones he had borrowed from his cousin... and then on this outing we forgot his coat, so he borrowed his friend's bright pink one! Maybe his anti-sledding mood was due to more than just the cold air?

Big Girl
here' s the latest from our little star...
she is now eating any kind of finger foods I can think of to giver her- miss independent will not accept anything from a spoon! So here she is eating banana. I gave her some small chunks along with some soft carrots, but she prefers to grab the other half of the uncut banana and gnaw on the bigger half. So she makes a lovely gooey mess as only a baby can!

She loves the Christmas tree, which reminds me--
I haven't yet told you all the crazy Christmas tree escapade of Colorado tree farms!
We sure missed Elgin this year... I'll tell you why in a later post :)

more Thanksgiving photos
Little Miss had so much fun creating her own town and playground while the 2 two-year olds took a nap! She even added a "potty" for the playground (the tiny building right next to her)

This pair made up their own games to play most of the time... here they are playing the "2 year old's version" of hide and seek in the closet: They find a place to hide (usually the same place 15 times in a row until you show them a new one) and try to contain themselves and not
giggle too much before you surprise them!

Thanksgiving Cabin
I better get busy and post these pictures from Turkey day before Christmas comes! Here are some pictures from our two-night stay at a cabin nearby in the mountains. All 5 of us had a wonderful time with my sister and her family of 4. The fresh fallen snow was a beautiful bonus!

Very fun tire swing by our cabin on a hill... we all took a few turns.
It quickly became Bella's favorite thing to do while we were there.

Whew!
This is pretty much how we have felt this past week...
... wiped out!The stomach bug invaded each of the 3 girls in our family and we are finally just now back to normal. I knew Little miss was getting sick when she fell asleep on her bed around 3pm with her new favorite boots still on (she doesn't take naps anymore unless she's ill).
We have many fun pictures to share and stories to tell from our Thanksgiving cabin to our Colorado Christmas tree adventure... so I am going to try to put a bunch of new posts in the next day or so to catch up...
